Grief's Emotional, Not Logical = Expressive Art Therapy.

The grief that comes with any loss can be very emotional, completely overwhelming and also very isolating.

Often people find that those they normally count on for emotional support are at a total loss when it comes to offering effective and meaningful assistance. Even some church groups aren't equipped to help when you're struggling with acute grief or even multiple grief.

People will often give you logical reasons why you should not feel bad, but that rarely helps. Grief is emotional and not logical! You are suffering from a broken heart, not a broken head! The broken heart syndrome is a fact that some people even experience a full-blown heart attack due to being broken hearted. Fact that you are seeking help in dealing with that emotional pain is not a sign of weakness, but rather a recognition on your part that you are interested in taking recovery action!

Safe Place/Safe People, Executive Director has 1st hand experience with multiple chronic grief. She began her journey in 1994 after the deaths of her two children and her daughter struggling with survivors' guilt while her middle son was

burned 65% of his body but it didn't let up for years.

She had to face the murder of her father that same year, death of her 36-year-old brother from a massive heart attack,

the loss of 3 her younger cousin's, ages 5- bike accident that broke his neck, 17-colon cancer,

25-colon cancer to her grandmother, kids' aunt-Lupus, aunt JoAnn, Cousin Carlos and many more

within a few years left her with multiple grief issues. She penned her journey,

so please refer to the book,
